FCP Non-fiction Video Project

In this project, we had to choose a topic of non-fiction activities to base a video on. Using Final Cut Pro, we are to produce a two minute movie with footage we either received permission to use or filmed ourselves. We decided to use footage from youtube.com and make a video with dramatic music and footage of tragic events like 9/11, forest fires, hurricanes, and war. We used LiveType for the opening and the text throughout the film. And Final Cut Pro to edit the clips together. We used GarageBand for the ending credit music and got the music during the video off the web.

The film we made is called "Silence". We chose this title to represent what our opinion is on this topic. The topic is about all the worldly events going on, and what people hear about them. Most people, if not all, doesn't care to listen nor take initiative to learn about what is going on. This movie doesn't have any voices, nor dialogue to represent the silence we live in. Watch the video to find out more information.

Spoof Ads

I'm finally making this, because I'm bored and I have the time... ahem...

In class, we had a project called "Spoof Ads". With the use of Photoshop, we are required to make fun/spoof on an actual advertisement. The spoof must be completely altered from the original ad, but still resembles it enough to have a noticeable effect. This ad must include an image, headline, slogan, company's name and logo (spoofed up, of course). This spoof ad is a testament against what the real advertisement is not showing but gives (IE Smoking gives cancer).

After the spoof ad is created, it is required to post it on your DP and write a detailed description that include what ad you are spoofing, what the original ad's message was, and how your ad shows that. Also, you have to outline what tools you used on Photoshop during the process.

You can find the rubric for this project at Chris Rosskopf's DP. http://staff.hthma.hightechhigh.org/~crosskopf/

Alliterative Bitmap Collaboration Project

We were required to take a picture of ourselves, and photoshop an image representing yourself. Here's mine.

Exploratory Intro

Because I have to.

This will be the exploratory page, anything that have to will be put on here. Otherwise, don't hold your breath.
